Cambridge International Scholarships & VC’s Awards 2022 in the UK.

The Cambridge international scholarships & vice chancellor award  will be awarded by the Cambridge Trusts to excellent overseas students pursuing PhD studies at the University of Cambridge. The Vice-Awards Chancellor’s are also open to UK and Irish residents.

Cambridge trust offers:

  • Cambridge International Scholarships – for those students who are required to pay University fees at the international rate
  • Vice-Chancellor’s Awards – for UK and Irish nationals who are required to pay fees at the home rate

to applicants who will be undertaking research leading to the degree of PhD at the University of Cambridge in the next academic year.

 

The aim of cambridge international scholarships

 

    • The aim of the Cambridge International Scholarships and Vice-Chancellor’s Awards is to ensure that the highest scored students, irrespective of nationality, receive full financial support to undertake PhD studies.

 

  • The Scholarships pay the University Composition Fee and a maintenance allowance sufficient for a single person.

A University Committee compiles a single ranking list of all PhD candidates from all fields. Academic qualifications, references, and research potential are the only variables taken into account when deciding on this list.

All applicants should complete the funding section of the online application form through the Applicant Portal ticking the box to express their ‘wish to be considered for funding’ and by completing the Cambridge Trust section.

The financial position of candidates has no bearing on the scholarship selection process.

Eligibility

These are guidelines on eligibility for scholarships that are available from the Cambridge Commonwealth, European and International Trust:

Nationality

All students, irrespective of nationality, are eligible to be considered for funding by the Trust.

Degree level

Applicants must be intending to start a course at the level of:

  • undergraduate (excluding UK applicants)
  • Masters (such as MPhil, MASt, LLM)
  • Research postgraduate (such as PhD)

How to apply for cambridge international scholarships awards

 

In the finance section of the online application form via the Applicant Portal, all applicants should state their ‘want to be considered for financing.’ Applicants who want to start their PhDs in 2021-2022 must submit their applications by December 2, 2021, or January 6, 2022.
