The Police Public Relations Officer in the state, Ahmed Wakili, who disclosed this in a statement, said the incident was reported on April 5, 2020 by the victim’s father.
He said Saleh lured his brother into an uncompleted building and had anal sex with him.
Wakili, a Deputy Superintendent of Police, added that thereafter, the suspect bought a drink and biscuits to pacify him.
He said, “On April 5, 2020, at 9.26pm, one Ibrahim Umar of Makama New Extension Federal Low-cost, Bauchi, reported at ‘D’ Division that on the same date, about 7.30pm, one Yusuf Saleh (36) of Zango area of Bauchi lured his younger brother into an uncompleted building situated at the same address and forcefully had anal sex with him without his consent.
“Thereafter, he bought juice and biscuit to lure him. Following the report, Sale was arrested and he confessed to the crime.”
The police spokesman also said that a team of detectives smashed a cross-border armed robbery syndicate terrorising Bauchi, Taraba and Adamawa states.
He said nine suspects were arrested in connection with the crime in the three states.
According to him, the suspects confessed to have been operating for a long time, stolen many vehicles in the three states and sold them in Cameroon and Niger Republic.
Wakili said, “On June 12, 2020 at 10.03pm, a distress call was received from one Abdullahi of Agric Quarter, Tirwun, along Maiduguri Road, Bauchi, that armed robbers were holding him hostage at his residence.
“After they collected his Honda CRV, ATM card, among others, they forced him to give the ATM pin code which they later used to withdraw the sum of N120,000 from his account.
“On receipt of the information, a team of operatives attached to the Command Intelligence Bureau swung into action and arrested eight suspects.”
